Peace and blessings upon our dear Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, his family رضي الله عنه , and his companions رضي الله عنه
We take this moment to honor one of the predecessors of faith, one of the hallmarks in Islamic spirituality, Hazrat Maroof Karkhi رضي الله عنه
Hazrat Maroof Karkhi رضي الله عنه hailing from Karkh, a town of Baghdad, Iraq, was a revered figure, an epitome of Islamic mysticism. He was born in 815 AD in a Persian family during the time of Imam Hussain's martyrdom. He was a disciple and student of the venerable saint, Hazrat Dawood Taiee رضي الله عنه —a relationship that fostered a profound depth in his spiritual life. Learning from his mentor, Hazrat Maroof Kharkhi رضي الله عنه developed a strong sense of asceticism and detachment from worldly desires, which shaped his distinctive perspective on life and spirituality.

His life was a melodious symphony, a luminous path leading to the divine love of Allah. In the life of Hazrath Maroof Kharkhi رضي الله عنه one learns that the essence of Islam lies not merely in prayer, but equally in the sincerity and purity of heart with which one serves Allah's creation.

You see, Hazrat Maroof Karkhi رضي الله عنه lived his life embodying the spirit of the Hadith of our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم
"The best of people are those that bring most benefit to the rest of mankind." His compassion was a gushing spring of kindness that knew no end. His heart vibrated with empathy for the poor, the needy, to such an extent that he was willing to part with his last morsel to ease their hunger. His dedication to their service was a testament to his Iman (faith), a beacon of hope shedding light on the lives drowning in despair.

Despite his spiritual stature and his ability to perform divine miracles, he was a monument of humility. Indeed, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "He who is humble for Allah by his heart, Allah raises his degree."
Hazrat Maroof Kharkhi life was an eloquent discourse on devotion, humility, and selflessness. His love for Allah, his presence in seclusion, his heart teeming with divine light even in solitude—the story of his life is a radiant chapter in the book of Islamic history.

Legacy, my dear brothers and sisters, is not about leaving something for the people; it is about leaving something in the people. And Hazrat Maroof Kharkhi رضي الله عنه has indeed left a beautiful legacy of divine love, compassion, humility, and service to humanity that continues to echo in our hearts.

May we find inspiration in his profound wisdom, be guided by his spiritual strength, and strive to cultivate these exemplary qualities in ourselves. Above all, may our lives encapsulate his profound teaching: to live in this world with our bodies, but to keep our hearts connected with our Creator. Surely, such a bond with Allah سبحانه وتعالى transcends the mortal existence, illuminating the path for the souls striving toward eternal serenity.

Wa ma tawfiqi illa billah. ("And my success can only come from Allah")
